Crawling onion websites.

From our data we detected country specific identifiers. These identifiers are
  • IP addresses
  • Domain names
  • Most common names per country
  • Phone numbers with country code
  • Social security numbers
  • Languages
  • GPS-coordinates from image metadata.
To demonstrate this data we have created a tool to view it on the map.

With these identifiers we are able point that a certain darkweb web page is related to a country. For example, IP addresses can be resolved to physical locations.

We located the IP addresses on ASEAN area found on darkweb.

Similarly, we located most common names per country, phone numbers with country code, social security numbers, and languages. We scaled and combined these values.

Some of the images shared on darkweb contain image metadata with GPS-location. This location is the location where the photograph was taken. Normally users and web services are removing this delicate information. However, few images found contained the location information.
